D' Cupcakery Taste Test

I love supporting home businesses because starting up one myself, I know that these entrepreneurs have more heart and soul put into their crafts than the commercial establishments.

Some clips of D' Cupcakery goodies.  Click on the name to get to their Facebook page and check out more of what's offered!  It's the right kind of sweetness which can make you eat more than one (admit it, most of the ones we tasted--we can't even finish one piece! :))

Colors

For a friend's special birthday, she requested for flowers--and colors.  A simple get-together that emanated the importance of family and friendship :)

Me Love Weddings :)

Hearty congratulations and best wishes to newlyweds (in Christ) Alex and Maureen: good friends who produced two beautiful and charming sons (one of whom is my godson), Alek and Bryzen (instant ringbearer and pageboy hehe).

It's always a plus point for a decorator if the clients are close friends--cuts half the brainstorming period as I already have an idea what they like based on past experiences.  Research is very important and will always be my first step as this would define how the turn-out will be.  I'm grateful that they trusted me enough to keep the set-up hush-hush (as per request also of the wedding coordinator who just happens to be the couple's fairy godmother) as a surprise--thank God it met positive reviews :)

Some clips from their Spring Brunch Wedding Reception (check more photos at  In Action):

How-Not-to-Go-Crazy Playlist

However much I love what I'm doing, I think any activity which is repetitive by nature and has been continuously worked on for a long period of time can test even the most patient person.  So to get me going (other than food, coffee, and sleeping), I listen to my music playlist:  a collection of guilty pleasure songs that keeps me sane while working :)

How-Not-to-Go-Crazy Playlist:

1)  The Fighter by Gym Class Heroes (because this feels very much like the Olympics!)
2) Dancing with Myself by Glee version: Kevin Mchale
3) You Only Live Once by The Strokes
4) Shake it Out by Florence + The Machine
5) Attack by Thirty Seconds to Mars
6) Shake It by Metro Station (dunno what's with the word "shake" but it certainly does the job)
7) Cochise by Audioslave
8) Mr. Brightside by The Killers
9) Letting Go (Dutty Love) by Sean Kingston feat. Nicki Minaj (:P)
10) The Scientist by Coldplay
11) Dancing in the Moonlight by Toploader
12) Makita Kang Muli by Sugarfree (the apt word to describe this can only be best said in my native tongue: "nakaka-antig")
13) Starlight by Muse
14) Hey Mama by Matt Kearney (that clapping sound--in loop!--is enough to last me for at least 3 hours :))
15) I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend by Glee version: Darren Criss (I love this guy!)
16) Run the World by Beyonce (girl power! yeah!)
17) Raise Your Glass by Pink (anthem of underdogs)
